This sculpture is my ideal representation of what I wish my ancestors would have looked like, kindly and full of wisdom. The lack of photographs for my relatives has allowed me to be imaginative with how I think they could have looked. The reality of the subject is that they were poor working class people, however I still hold onto the belief that they were happy with parts of their life and had a sense of humour that I could relate with.
This sculpture was constructed using wood and carved with traditional whittling tools.
Dimensions: 7.3 x 4.5cm
